By accessing this website or engaging our services, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our website or services.
Scope of Services
Roughledge Dwell provides psychological support, personal development coaching, and related services to individuals. Our services are delivered remotely via secure video conferencing platforms.
The information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice tailored to your specific situation. Individual sessions are required to receive personalized professional guidance.
Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen years of age to engage our services independently. If you are under eighteen, services may only be accessed with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
By using our services, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Professional Relationship
When you engage our services, a professional relationship is established between you and your assigned practitioner. This relationship is governed by:
- These Terms of Use
- Professional ethical standards and codes of conduct
- Relevant UK legislation and regulations
- Any separate service agreement or informed consent document provided
Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information shared during sessions, subject to limited exceptions required by law or professional standards:
- When we have reasonable belief that you pose a serious risk of harm to yourself or others
- When disclosure is required by court order or legal obligation
- When necessary for professional supervision or consultation (maintaining anonymity where possible)
- When you provide explicit written consent for information sharing
Confidentiality is discussed in detail during initial sessions, and you will have opportunity to ask questions about its scope and limitations.
Limitations of Service
Not Emergency Services
Our services are not designed for emergency situations. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, visit your nearest A&E department, or call emergency services on 999.
Not a Substitute for Medical Care
Our services complement but do not replace medical treatment. We may recommend consultation with medical professionals when appropriate. You should continue any prescribed medical treatment unless advised otherwise by your physician.
Scope of Practice
Our practitioners work within their professional competencies and ethical guidelines. We may decline to provide services or make referrals to other professionals when issues fall outside our scope of practice.
Client Responsibilities
When engaging our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information relevant to your care
- Attend scheduled sessions or provide appropriate notice of cancellation
- Make payment as agreed for services rendered
- Maintain a private, quiet environment for remote sessions
- Engage honestly and in good faith with the therapeutic or coaching process
- Inform your practitioner of any changes in circumstances affecting your care
Fees and Payment
Service fees are as listed on our website and confirmed when you book sessions. Payment is required in advance of each session via bank transfer to the account details provided.
We reserve the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice to existing clients. Any fee changes will be communicated at least thirty days in advance.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least forty-eight hours notice without charge. Appointments cancelled with less than forty-eight hours notice will be charged at the full session rate.
This policy ensures we can manage scheduling fairly for all clients. Exceptions may be made for genuine emergencies at our discretion.
Service Termination
Either party may terminate the professional relationship at any time. Where appropriate and with your consent, we will provide referrals to other practitioners who may better serve your needs.
We reserve the right to terminate services if:
- You repeatedly fail to attend scheduled sessions without notice
- Payment obligations are not met
- You engage in abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior
- Continuing the relationship would be clinically or ethically inappropriate
